  Read Read Read So I am going to totally redo Golden Oak Stables. It is even getting a brand new name! My boyfriend and I are going to make a nice barn and we need to fix the big 300 dollar barn that I got. It is falling apart! I was going to yell at the people who made it, but it was too late to do anything about it. :/ So, we'll just have to start over. We're painting/varnishing it anyway. But we will be making a nice new barn. Complete with feed and tack room, and wash stall. I also found this great stuff at our Home Depot that looks like grass that I can cut down for my new pastures! It is also on sale for only $15, down from $35, for a big roll of it! So if I have extra, I will sell some! So it will be awhile till the next barn tour is out. Sorry guys, but I want this to be really nice. :) I will keep them as is for now to film "Called to Be" and "Home is Where the Heart Is" in the meantime. And here is the new name I was thinking, "Emerald Hill Equestrian Center." What do you think? Let me know! I like the idea, since my birthstone is Emerald and I have some Irish in me.   Ching He Huang/Hot and sour chicken noodle soup www.chinghehuang.com itunes.apple.com www.amazon.co.uk For the soup * 1 tbsp groundnut oil * 2 ½ cm piece fresh root ginger, peeled and thinly sliced * 2 handfuls sliced shiitake mushrooms * 1 red chilli, seeds removed and finely chopped * 1 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry sherry * 700ml vegetable stock * 220g canned bamboo shoots, drained and rinsed * 1 tbsp light soy sauce * dark soy sauce * 1 tbsp Chinese black rice vinegar or balsamic vinegar * pinch ground white pepper * 1 tsp cornflour, mixed with 2 tbsp cold water For the noodle base * 200g cooked egg noodles * 2 small handfuls bean sprouts * 8 baby sweetcorn, sliced * 1 spring onion, sliced * 100g cooked chicken, shredded 1. For the soup: heat the oil in a wok and fry the ginger and mushrooms for 2-3 minutes, or until softened. Add the chilli, rice wine or dry sherry, stock, bamboo shoots, soy sauces, vinegar and pepper. Bring to the boil, add the corn flour paste and stir until thickened. Reduce heat and warm through. 2. For the noodle base: layer the noodles, bean sprouts, sweetcorn and spring onion in a serving bowl. Top with the chicken, then spoon the soup over the ingredients. Give the bowl a stir and serve immediately.

  Chicken Pad Thai Recipe - Delicious Asian Food Ingredients: Marinade for chicken 1 tablespoon corn starch 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 2 tablespoons white wine 12 oz. Thai rice noodles 2 sliced chicken breasts 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup fresh bean sprouts 3 green onions 1/4 chopped peanuts 2 eggs 4 cloves garlic chopped 2 tablespoons cooking oil lime wedges Pad Thai Sauce: 1 Tbsp. tamarind paste dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water 1 Tbsp. fish sauce 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce 1 Tbsp. soy sauce 2 Tbsp. Gourmet Garden chili pepper spice blend 3 Tbsp. brown sugar Preparation: Combine ingredients for Pad Thai Sauce in 1/4 cup warm water Boil large pot of water and remove from heat. Cook noodles 5-6 minutes until al-dente In hot wok add garlic and marinated chicken. Cook until 80% done. Move aside and cook 2 eggs. Stir in noodles with sauce. When finished add bean sprouts green onions. Garnish with chopped peanuts and lime wedges.
