There are many benefits to eating foods while they are in season. Shopping local fruit and vegetable stands, Farmer’s Markets, or even buying produce that is in season at your local market saves you money. Fruits and vegetables have the best flavor when you eat them at their peak. The Sustainable Table website offers up information on what foods are in season in your area, where Farmer’s Markets are located, Food Co-ops, shopping guides, and a rBGH-free Dairy map. Eating Seasonally: Hmm...This might...This was a video project that my friends and I made for our class, Food and Society: Exploring Eating Behaviors in a Social, Environmental and Policy Context (humbio 166). It's a wonderful and thought-provoking class taught at Stanford by Professor Christopher Gardner, Professor Thomas Robinson, and Jennifer Otten.
