I teach a dance aerobic class and I think I am gaining too much muscle…is this possible?

I teach classes 2x day and twice a week I teach it 3x a day. I am not losing weight. In fact, I am gaining weight. There is def new definition in my body because I have been teaching now for 10 months. I am just wondering if it is possible that I am gaining muscle because I have noticed I have actually gained 5 lbs since I have started teaching extra classes. Can anyone explain this?
